Simple

All beings by nature are Buddha,
as ice by nature is water;
apart from water there is no ice,
apart from beings no Buddha.

It is so simple, so so simple. But we are so complicated, so so complicated. Zen is too simple for most of us - that we need the complicated, in order to simplify, in order to see Zen.
